Rockin' the Mocto

In New Brunswick for a few more days. New lappy is bitchin', but it won't read my camera. So, instead of awesome pictures of the SuperSistersTM, Grampy's "I just saw a ghost!" look, and other randomness, I leave you a 101 Dalmations moment over donairs.

Productivity

One item off my vacation 2005 list and it's only half past noon.

Internetting rules.

Sure it looks good now, but in 40 years...

Another reason to shake my head at my brother.

Rancho Relaxo

So, vacation 2005 has officially begun today. As my brother wisely pointed out, "You already finished everything that you had planned for the next two weeks by noon today, didn't you?"

Guilty as charged.

Therefore, I present a list of the things I will get done before September 7th 2005:

  • Visit every known relative I have
  • Read two substantial novels
  • Write 100 pages (if not more) in three days
  • Get drunk in all three Maritime provinces
  • Have a clean i) room, ii) car, and iii) apartment
  • Take more artsy pictures of stuff
  • Get to 50% completion in San Andreas
  • Cycle 150 km
  • Completely, utterly, and totally ignore all work, work-related things, work gossip, and anything and everything to do with work
  • Shop for a new laptop
  • Update this blog more often
  • Figure out how to use XML stuff, 'cause all the internetting I know is from 1997

Hopefully this will keep me occupied.

    Happenstance

I hate it when I get momentarily busy/distracted, because I forget to update this thing, and it looks like I've done nothing for the last two weeks.

    Some of the highlights:

  • A few bonfires in Rustico.
  • Went golfing with management-types.
  • Won an iPod Shuffle.
  • Progressed about 15% in GTA: San Andreas. (If someone calls me CJ in real life, I would probably respond.)
  • Cycled 80 km -- I can do more, but it's just too hot.
  • Discovered foreign foods that I actually like.
  • Committed to entering the 3 Day Novel contest... again. Third year running. This time, it's personal.
  • Was 'removed' from the seediest bar in town, probably because I wasn't harassing, puking, or groping anyone. The Wave can't re-open soon enough.
  • Had fondue. On my boss' desk. On his day off. And he didn't mind.
  • Read a real science book for the first time in probably 15 years. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that I could explain relativity six ways to Sunday.

I think that's just about all that has happened since the last update. Now that everyone has been caught up on what physically happened in the last fortnight, I'm free to post about what I've been thinking lately.

After a few more hours of bangin' Ballas, mind you.
